We would like to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!  Our store will be closed this Thursday the 25th for the holiday, as well as Friday the 26th (for that inevitable turkey hangover, of course.)  We will resume our normal business hours on Saturday the 27th from 10am-7pm.

Paolo Pirozzi - Around the World in 80 DOC

Paolo Pirozzi - the man from Naples who is traveling around the world on a Multistrada 1200 - will be here in South Florida this Sunday - Tuesday (Nov. 28-30).  There are several small events planned by our local Ducati Owners' Club to welcome him and ride with him down to the Keys.  Monday happens to be Paolo's birthday, so we've also planned a party for him at Pizzeria Panaretto to celebrate.

Here's the tentative schedule:

Sunday Nov. 28th
Meet at 8:30am at the Racetrack Gas Station.
1410 W State Road 84, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315
From South - North on I-95, East on SR-84 / Marina Mile (next exit after Fort Lauderdale Airport), gas station will be on right side
From North - South on I-94, East on SR-84 / Marina Mile (next exit after I-595), gas station will be on right side

Kickstands up at 9:00am and ride to Sonny's BBQ.
150 Sheriff Rd, Melbourne, FL 32940
Exit 191 in Melbourne, just east of I-95

Here we'll wait for Paolo, have a bite to eat, and then escort him south.  At about 3:00pm we'll make a pit stop at Ducati Forza in Pompano Beach for refreshments, and then we'll head over to the Ducati.net office/museum in Fort Lauderdale for a casual get together / open house.

Monday Nov. 29th
As Monday is Paolo's 30th birthday, join us for a party at Pizzeria Panaretto (where the weekly DOCSF bike night / social gathering is hosted), starting at about 7:30pm.
Pizzeria Panaretto

1331 SE 17th Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316

(Corner of Cordova and 17th Street, behind the gas station in the Office Depot plaza)

Please ride a Ducati if possible.  This is to honor a true rider who has come all the way from Naples Italy the long way.  But either way please come and meet this remarkable guy.

Tuesday Nov. 30th

Meet at DucatiMiami at 10:00am.

2001 NW 167th Street, Miami Gardens, FL 33056

From South, take I-95 North to 826 West (Palmetto Expressway).  Take the second exit (NW 17th Ave), which will merge you onto 167th Street, which follows parallel to the expressway.  After the first traffic light, DucatiMiami will be about 3 blocks down on the right side.

From North - take either I-95 or the Turnpike south.  Follow the signs for 826 West (Palmetto Expressway).  Take the second exit (NW 17th Ave), which will merge you onto 167th Street, which follows parallel to the expressway.  After the first traffic light, DucatiMiami will be about 3 blocks down on the right side.

After a continental breakfast provided by DucatiMiami, we will escort Paolo to Alabama Jacks at the top of the Keys, after which he will continue to Key West.

Please be sure to check the DOCSF page for any last minute schedule changes!

2011 Ducati models have arrived!
848evo Arctic White Silk
We have just received our latest shipment of the new 2011 Ducati line-up.  A bunch of new Monsters, Hypermotards, Multistradas, as well as several of the new 848evo Superbikes have all found their way to our showroom.  We expect additional shipments to continue to arrive in the next few weeks.  Be sure to stop by and check out the new Arctic White Silk 848evo with the red frame and wheels...bellisimo!

If you can't make it in to our showroom to see these models, you can still find out about all these bikes on Ducati.com.

For more information on any of these new Ducati models, please contact our sales department at Sales@ducatimiami.com or call one of our salesmen here at the store at 305-625-2453.  We hope to hear from you soon!

2011 Ducati Diavel

By now I'm sure you've already heard the buzz surrounding the new 2011 Ducati Diavel.  If not, please check out the mini-site dedicated to this awesome new model here.

Diavel Rosso
From Ducati.com, 12 Oct. 2010:
The idea for the name was born early in the development process of the bike, when the prototype was assembled and wheeled out in front of a group of Ducati engineers and technicians for the first time. One person looking from the rear of the bike saw its silhouette and exclaimed in Bolognese dialect: "Ignurànt comm' al diavel!" Meaning: "Evil, like the devil!"

Recently unveiled to the world at the 2010 EICMA show in Italy, and then to a US audience at the IMS Show in Dallas two weeks ago, the Diavel is now on tour with the IMS show across North America.  The show will make its Florida stop at Daytona the second week of March 2011.  Please visit the IMS Show website for their complete schedule.

Several of us recently had the opportunity to get a sneak peek of the new Diavel ourselves.  Feel free to stop by to check out our photos and hear our perspective on this exciting new model.

Penguin Roadracing School - Dec. 3rd 2010

Our friends from the Penguin Roadracing School will be visiting us in South Florida again for the first Friday of December.  They will be hosting a race school at Homestead Miami Speedway on Friday the 3rd, as well as sticking around for the last FL CCS race weekend of 2010 the following Saturday and Sunday.

We are welcoming all who wish to participate in the school to visit Penguin's registration page here, but be sure to sign up with DucatiMiami as your referring dealer.  (No additional cost...just additional goodies!)  We plan on staying all weekend with refreshments, snacks, sweet pit spots, and our mechanics will also be on hand to help out our customers and friends.

Special Bonus:  World champion and motorocycle racing celebrity Doug Polen will be at this event with all those South Florida customers who were able to take advantage of the Fast Track sales promotion from earlier this year.

If you have any questions about the school, please contact Penguin directly or call Hannah at DucatiMiami at 305-625-2453.

We hope to see you all soon.

Ciao!
