Title: trip to Phoenix
Post by: cokey on June 16, 2011, 08:29:30 AM
The end of july and 2 weeks of August the family and I are taking vaca in Phoenix, don't knw which part yet.. visiting my sister inlaw..   still debating on flying or driving the neon.. driving seems to come out cheaper but flying is quicker.  It'll only take me 2 days at most to drive out..  see some of you guys around..

Are you driving from NY?

Well, if you do fly, you would have to rent a car. There's no public transpiration that you would want to take in 115 degree weather.

What part of town are you headed to?

Yea from ny.. we decided on driving.  Comes out cheaper n I love long drives.  Phoenix, don't knw yet what part.. we are staying in my sister inlaws place.. I just need to tear into my trans and fix a few lingering issues and drop in some long needed new suspension bits..

We don't do a lot of riding during the summer (not that you would have your bike anyway), but you might find some Ducati regulars at TT Roadhouse on Tuesday nights. If you want to escape from the family for a night, you'll probably find us there.

Hey Cokey..I'm in the middle of moving out of PHX and...urkes me to admit it...back to Gilbert. Find out where the in~law lives and let us know. BTW...I've driven from MI to AZ in 36 hours without sleep. You'll REALLY be pushing it to get here in 2 days from NY!!

Seems like Austin is a 1K miles from here but you won't be going that way. I assume you'll be getting on the 40 and shooting over through the turn pikes in OK, Amaeillo, ALBQ, Flagstaff and then down to PHX

So fixed trans and suspension.. going to change oil and coolant flush after  washing clothes.. then alignment spot and off to bed.. will be leaving around 10pm..  no lower octane, cheaper but found out you get lower mpg in this car with it..  85032 is the zip ill be staying @..  they also want to maybe take a drive to sanD n stay for a few days, aug 4th I think.. dnt know if ill want to do that thgh.. driving in cali with modified cars sucks for one with how they are with tickets..
