Title: Greetings!
Post by: Speeddog on June 25, 2008, 05:10:48 PM
This serves as the 'Grand Opening' of Valley Desmo Service.  [laugh]

VDS is the 'service' end of the shop formerly known as FlightCycles.
I'm located at the former FlightCycles shop, in Reseda, California.

Some of you folks know me already, but for those who don't, I'm Nick.
I've been working on cars and bikes for nearly 40 years, and working on Ducs for the last 5 years.

More information will be coming soon, and a website will be up shortly, as well.

If you've got any questions, please post up, or shoot me a PM.

I'm very glad to be here!

Nick good to see that you have finally come up with a new "name" for the place.

I'll be scheduling an oil change for the bike for sometime in august.  see you then.

Nick never serviced my Ducs (sold before he got into the duc-wrenching game), but he did drive 2 hours to my house to help me out with my Yamaha Zuma.  And the Zuma ran like gold after he worked his magic on it (in my driveway).   [thumbsup] [thumbsup]

Pity I'm on the other side of the planet, or I'd drop the S2R in for some loving attention  [cheeky]

Just had my 24k service done by Nick on my 97' 900SS. He did excellent work, he nailed ever problem I was having with the bike. My previous Ducati mechanic could not fix the problem after three visits, and he gave me an outrageous estimate. Thanks a lot Nick.

Just bought my first Ducati about two weeks ago and rode it straight to Nick for inspection and servicing.  Although the Ducati had very low mileage on it, it had no service records, and I wanted peace of mind.  After reading countless praises and positive reviews about Nick on various forums, I decided to entrust my bike to him even though he is quite a distance away.

I am glad I did.  From the first time I called him, Nick was very courteous and patient in answering all my questions and concerns.  He went above and beyond in looking over my bike and did an excellent job.  As long as I own a Duc, I will take it to him.

Here's to a very good guy and an excellent professional.   [beer]

2 yr update:  took my bike into Nick for 7,500 mi service and new tires. Once again, Nick went above and beyond taking care of my bike. Picked the bike up from his shop and immediately headed over to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. The bike was a joy to ride. Thanks again, Nick.

Took my bike to Nick at Valley Desmo for the 12,000 mile service.  He adjusted the valves, changed my chain (original chain), did some sprocket work where he geared the bike down.  The bike was ready when he said it was.  Great service.
