Cause the character in the books is 6'5" tall and 250lbs, Cruise isn't even close to either one of those. Also, if they (the studio) decides to carry on with the franchise I don't believe for a minute that Tom Cruise could beat most of the bad guys that are described in any of the books. But he does own the rights so I guess he can do whatever he likes, it's just a disappointment to the fans of the books. Myself included.

Even though the character is supposed to be white, The Rock would have been a better cast just based on his stature!

This is the second trailer for this movie. Not sure the story will hold up, but WOW on the digital effects and colors. Looks just like the Wizard of Oz when Dorthy first arrived.

Actually, F&F 5 was not that bad.

It was actually really really good IMHO.  It was one of those action movies that was aware it was an action movie, if that makes sense.  It didn't take itself seriously and the Rock's one-liners were too too good.  The chase scene at the end was one of the best I've ever seen and must have cost $10MM to film based on the level of destroyed cars/buildings.

Excited for fast six. [thumbsup]

Considering that they filmed that scene in a section of PR called the "golden mile", it was probably very expensive. Not to mention the amount of money for blocking off the bridge that connects the airport with a large portion of the metro area.

So anyone who saw and loved Grown Ups should ABSOLUTELY AVOID the sequel. There was no real plot or story line worth following. Just a bunch of attempted funniness for the sake of trying to be funny. This movie was a full on 90s SNL reunion.

Finally got to see Lone Survivor today with my wife and 17 year old. Tore her up but she always picks the movie. Today it was our turn for the first time in forever. I think they did a good job with it. Been meaning to read the book. Guess now I have to.  [popcorn]

Even funnier was when I was in Baltimore this Fall we did the tourist thing and headed down to the waterfront for an afternoon of beers and an evening of food.  After it was dark the lights around the water front and the city were gorgeous.  I like to hike around a bit and in the distance I spotted a clock tower that I thought would b4e fun to hike to.  We got about six blocks from the waterfront and my spidey sense went off, grabbed my girl and hiked out of there back to the waterfront.

When meeting with our Naval Architect the next day I told him were we tried to hike to.  He thought that would have been a one way hike into a very scary part of town.  I came home and saw that 12:00 boys trailer   :o :o  Close one!

I trust that it's C Nolan it will be good.  I also like the use of Dylan Thomas' "rage against the dying of the light".

Took my Godson to see the latest Night at the Museum flick yesterday.

I think I laughed more than he did. In fact, I'm sure he and a few others were laughing at me laughing!

I took my (then) 83 year old grandma to see Home Alone 2 in the theaters and I think she laughed the entire time without pause.  It was infectious and soon I and everyone sitting near us were laughing hysterically for no reason.

Stupid movies are stupid, but when they hit it just right, they are the most fun!  ;D
