Title: Bedding new brake pads.. Post by: Speed 3 Pilot on January 18, 2013, 11:09:18 PM Getting new front pads soon, EBC HHs...anyone here have a proven brake pad bedding method that they would like to share? EBC says 300 miles of city/urban driving to get the new pads to conform to the used rotors, then x number of runs from x mph to a near stop, blah, blah blah...I'm looking for a method that will eliminate the 300 miles of city driving before I can really use the brakes...

Post by: devilduc on January 20, 2013, 12:34:08 AM At first i didnt like them because they didnt seem to have as much 'feel' (?) as the old ones. But they have a good bite even with just two fingers touching pretty lightly. I like 'em now that im used to them.

[Dolph] I did as MD suggested, rode normal and didn't sweat it...the pads have been fully bedded in for some time now and I'm just as comfortable with them as I was with the stockers...great pads at a fraction of the cost of the stock pads. |
