Title: Monster Fuel Flange Wire Kit- $104.03
Post by: CannedIce on February 19, 2013, 03:38:32 PM
Why?

Monsters with nylon tanks have started exhibiting failure of the wiring passthrough in the fuel flange. In the Ducati Monster Forum, a member noted his epoxy had grown soft and eventually, the fuel reached the soldered terminals in the passthrough, which became unsoldered! We saw this trend and now have an alternative available below. The same type of passthrough is used in other Ducati families: 916, 999, ST. It seems the newer Ducatis with the oval-shaped fuel flange are not having this problem: Hypermotard and 1098, for example.

Hey everyone, we got a couple reports of the wires kits leaking THROUGH the wires. :P So now we're testing every one of them. So far, only 1 leaker in-house. But 3 in the field is 3 too many. :( So we'll turn that frown upside down :)

I did a facebook album about it:
