Title: Road Trip to Heron Lake
Post by: Zaster on May 02, 2013, 05:54:48 PM
I just spoke with John Roth who used to ride the Crest with us on his Xerox 1098 and his Paul Smart.
He bought property at Heron Lake and has been working on building a house for the last couple of years.
He would love to ride with us up there and show us around as well.
I'm thinking about a  [Dolph] trip the weekend of May 25.
Let me know who is interested so we can plan for accommodations as well.
Pam will bring the cage to haul supplies etc.

Why isn't Pam riding her new Panigale??  ;D

If I wasn't almost 2000 miles away, I would be in!  [evil]

Not sure about overnight, but looks like a nice ride.  Keep me in the loop as the date gets closer.

Early Saturday departure with Pam navigating the chase vehicle...cage that is.  ;D
Just need a head count to make sure we can accommodate over night stays at L'Scott or John's place at the lake and
take the appropriate supplies.

Why don't you ride up Friday & stay here Friday night?

Not a bad idea...more riding time  [thumbsup]
What do we need to bring if we want to crash at your place for a night assuming we have your permission?
Oh....and could the interested parties play hooky from work for half a day on Friday to head north?

No permission needed, all y'all are welcome anytime [thumbsup]
Hell, ride up today!!!!!
I've got a bed & 2 futons that each hold 2, plus a sofa & another futon that hold 1 each. You wouldn't need to bring a thing, maybe a pillow if you so desire, & a spare liver ;D

After some good input from NMMR hooligans I'm suggesting that we do a Heron run a week after the upcoming holiday weekend. This way we won't have to put up with all the slow holiday traffic like people hauling campers, boats,  [leo] presence  etc.

If it's the weekend after this coming one, then perhaps Ro & I can make it.  I'll go check w/the missus...

I would recommend an overnight trip. This way we can have Pam and Matt fish while we ride Sat and Sunday.
I can check with John Roth in case you would prefer to stay near the lake Sat. night.

Ro, Stew, Pam and myself are thinking of invading L'Scott Friday afternoon/evening. If anyone else can play hooky from work you are welcome to join us or otherwise you can drop off anything you want Pam to haul up there by Thursday evening.

Well friday I'm out I got my study group (every friday) and it depends on how much of the homework I get done that will determine how much  [Dolph] fun I can have over the weekend. I'm hoping to get it all day but that might be a 6 hour venture.....

Matt is out for the weekend, last weekend was his only one off. He is doing more work for marco this weekend and stuff for jim as well.

Pam has your slicks in her trunk, L'Scott.  I took them over this morning in preparation for their stop at your place.  Looks like I'm out for the weekend, as I have to work Friday.

I also got to see Karl's progress in the new patio project.  Esta Bien!  Can't wait for the christening barbeque!

If you can't make it Friday, ride up Saturday morning, spend the night at Heron Lake, & ride home with everyone on Sunday [thumbsup] [Dolph]

Just talked to John Roth and he invited us to stay at his place Saturday night. I'll call him when we leave L'Scotts place to head for Heron and we will meet up with him (he brought his bike up for the occasion) to do some riding.  [Dolph]
What time did you guys want to leave on Friday?
