Victoria's Roads and Road Safety Minister Luke Donnellan MP has announced that motorcycle filtering will be introduced in Victoria by September 1, 2015.

If you were arguing about lane filtering from a safety point of view ... I see very little in that article to argue for it. There are a lot of numbers with very little context ... too many 'what ifs' for it to mean anything to me.

I note the article is about splitting and the comment at the bottom is about the legality of filtering, which is a somewhat different practice. A bit misleading!  Personally I condone filtering, and have been doing it for years, but find the thought of splitting a bit scary.  I certainly wouldn't want to split with the idiot car drivers in these parts who neither know how to signal nor what lane they want to be in. At least with filtering the cars are stationary.

Enjoyed lots of lane filtering today, knowing that no matter how many car drivers were peeved or jealous, they would simply have to suck it up. Lol!

No reason for jealousy.  Everybody is free to ride a motorcycle if they wish.

Quite true!

There will be many though, who always wanted a motorbike, but their mum or wife or whoever would 'kill' them if they did.

So they didn't! Lol!
