Title: LOOKING FOR SOME INFO AS A NEW DUCATI OWNER
Post by: Stezi796 on March 15, 2019, 05:18:08 PM
Hi everyone.  After 30 years, i am finally back on the road this spring.I bought a 2013 796 ABS.  I am excited as hell to ride again.  I am looking for some insight as to the number plate on the anniversary edition.  I have  number 150/200.  Is the number world wide or here in Canada.  Any info would be great.  Don't be afraid to tell my how much I will love my bike !!!!!!!!!!!!  The previous owner told me it's the only bike of its kind in Canada with the color scheme. (black and bronze).  Thanks

Welcome  [thumbsup]

The 20th anniversary models were red body work - not black.

Not sure about the 200 world wide, but close. They made them in 696 and 1100 versions too. Maybe this is correct: North America combined? http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=68637.0

Welcome [beer]

Possibly a dealer or first owner commissioned paint job? The bodywork was transferable for custom paint plus there were accessory body kits available in the Ducati Performance catalogue. Someone might know the details for that model. Have a chat to the dealer that sold the bike.

Cheers

The colour was an option with the anniversary issue.  The purists went red.  Other schemes were available through Ducati

Cool.
Some owners have a few sets of bodywork on the garage wall at their whim. [thumbsup]

The logo vintage or current?
