Title: A Saturday S2R SBK Fender Swap Kinda Day
Post by: CookieMonster on May 18, 2019, 02:14:47 PM
I like it overall, I dunno how I feel about the 3D Ducati logo on it.

I think I will eventually go matte carbon fiber.

Looks good! I wonder if it being shorter will allow more crud and grime to get flung up at the oil cooler...

Thanks! That is a guaranteed thing to happen. I was eying a brushed SS protector that looks pretty good but costs a pretty penny. That out update the cooler but that doesn’t take care of that pending situation.

I think this is how the Monster should’ve rolled out of the factory.

A small lower plate like the splitters they use on touring cars would shield the cooler from wheel debris.

Possibly could even make it from clear plastic if it could handle the heat.

Make sure the tire won't hit it at full bump.

I was thinking of this, the splitter may cause a bit of aerodynamic interference don't you think?

A small plate on the bottom, like this yellow device in the pic.

Would help stop the debris stream thrown by the tire.
