Title: How to unhook exhaust springs? Post by: Wzed on May 22, 2019, 06:58:26 PM I need to take my exhaust system apart, but I can't get the springs that hold it together to come off; should I just take a pair of needle-nose pliers and pull them apart, or is there some special technique or tool?

FMF Racing 11231 Pipe Spring Tool https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JXOPMQG/ But I have used needle-nosed pliers and you can do it if you’re careful. I’d highly recommend safety glasses tho. They are on there pretty good. Title: Re: How to unhook exhaust springs? Post by: Speeddog on May 22, 2019, 07:18:39 PM I've got one like that, it's quite good.
And yeah, glasses always. Title: Re: How to unhook exhaust springs? Post by: S21FOLGORE on May 22, 2019, 08:09:25 PM Go to local NAPA store and get this if you are in a hurry.

Post by: Wzed on May 23, 2019, 09:05:54 AM Thanks guys! I figured I must be missing something. I always looked at those things and thought, "That's enough to hold my exhaust together?" Turns out it definitely is.
