Title: 2000 Monster 750 clutch master cylinder leaking
Post by: Nozzu on May 09, 2020, 10:05:12 PM
Hello fellow monsters.
As title says, i discovered that clutch side master cylinder leaking. That rubber cap you can see from lever side is all wet. And lever was covered with liquid as well.
I believe i need to rebuild that cylinder.

But i have some trouble to identify correct repair kit for my bike. Can anybody, please, suggest aftermarket rebuild kit number for Ducati Monster 750 Dark Edition year 2000 clutch master cylinder.

Thanks

Welcome.

You need to look on the bottom of your master. The bore diameter will be stamped. Memory tells me it should be 13 mm, but I'm not positive.

Then go to this page... https://store.bevelheaven.com/Rebuild-Kits-Parts/ ...scroll down, and pick the hollow pivot kit that corresponds to the size you need. If you're not in the US the Brembo part# is listed so you can find it closer to your location.

It's time to get a rebuild kit for the clutch master cylinder on my 2000 M900S.  Figured I'd do the brake master cylinders, too, since they're all 20 years old.  @ducpainter you said the size is stamped on the unit.  I've got this:

clutch master cylinder: "9K13 12"

front brake master cylinder: "9K01 16"

So 12mm for the clutch and 16mm for the front brake?  I can't see a stamp on the rear brake master cylinder; might be on the inward-facing side.

Thanks

Those sizes would be correct.

I don't know that I've ever seen any other rear kit than the 11mm one listed ar Bevel Heaven.
