Title: Rizoma Rearsets fitment from 1999 M900 to 2002 Monster S4
Post by: Qomomoko on June 21, 2020, 05:34:55 AM
Used Ebay Rizoma Rearset from a 1999 Ducati Monster M900.
It should fit a 2002 Duati Monster S4 as stock rearsets for both bikes are the same part.
Is top and bottom bolt on the brake suffice to hold rearset safely?
Can I bend the misaligned bracket part and align it?
Is the rearset bent from when installed on the M900?
Is my bike's bracket bent?

I have not dropped nor had an issue with the clutch side of my moto.
On the brake side,  I did loose balance and scuffed the handle bar and the clutch cover.
Thanks for the help

The OE rearsets have rubber bushings in each hole to allow for mid-alignment during the frame manufacture.  It seems Rizoma didn’t think they needed to allot for said mid-alignment, SO... you’re left with the problem your video shows.

If it were me, I would bolt the rearsets to the frame (upper two bolts) and then plan on making adjustments to the lower bolt.  Mostly because you have the greatest amount of room between the rearset and the engine.  I would manufacture a bracket between some the side stand hole and the rear most hole which has an M10 threaded hole between then to accommodate the altered lower mounting hole.
