Well we know who is here (you and I) so I thought I would start another thread so we can all chat! [laugh]

It's going to take awhile to match the post count in the other thread.  I think I got charged for a cup of water at Taco Bell.  Got any advice on refinancing?

1st we can get the count up easy!

2nd I think your talking in code again, refinace what? and a cup of water will be charged to you IF you get it in a regular soda cup, but they have water cups (smaller normally) that they don't charge for.

Re-finance the house so its just in my name.  I have been able to buy all my other stuff out right.  Well besides a TV, but I could have, I just wanted the assistance on my credit and what a mistake that became.  Remembering is not my forte.  Should have just stuck with the mortgage as my only credit payment.

I just asked for a water and they charged me like 50 cents or so, not going to break the bank though, so whatever.

Exacatly, I hate getting the "special" cup just because I want free water.  >:(

My mom and sister both work for financing companies but as for me I work in a car assembly plant building the chevy cobalt and the pontiac G5, so sorry no help from me.

First, it was like in the triple digets here for weeks, and now it's been raining all week.  I haven't been on a bike in over a week and my trucks been in the shop for a week.  My daughter's are listening to "I'm Too Sexy" on what's supposed to be a kid's CD!  What is going on with my life?

BTW, LYD, Nora and Oceane are texting so much we had to put Oceane on the unlimited texting plan.  Can we get them a free forum (one where I don't have to let the kids touch my computer?)

I text my room mates.  I gave them the upstairs room and if I want to see if they want to do something instead of hollering I'll just text 'em.

Oceane and Tommy text each other while sitting in the same bed....she's like "Entertain me....now!"  Tommy's says  "Stop texting me and get out of my room"  (note that he texts that to her).  I really don't like cell phones enough to get involved.

Everytime nora texts me I just call her, its alot easier!!

I can believe it, my att bill was 230.00 last month..........she's on unlimited now [thumbsup]I too was a text hater.........before the iphone now i find it easier than being on this forum.  Listening to ppl say why not just call, makes me wonder why I don't call you all and say all the bullshit stuff that I type here on the forum to you over the phone.  Now I ask you.......should I type or call..............you decide [coffee]

I'm really bad at texting....it's comical really, and apparently I can't use the iphone because I have fingernails, oh well, have to cut those for school anyway.  BTW, Tommy dropped his iphone and cracked the corner of the screen.  Maybe I'll get it soon and he can get the new one!

Or maybe tommy can have two iphones?  tommy should start talking only in 3rd person.  tommy likes to annoy people that much.

that's fun for like five minutes and then you get tired of walking back up the hill, and every part of your body is wet and frozen.....try skiing instead - very fun

As for the sledding, most big places that do sledding have a pull rope:  you sit on the tube and hold a handle that is connected to the tow rope and it pulls you back up the hill.  Its AWESOME!!

As for a LSD ski/sled trip, thats a great idea!  lets try to make it happen.

Ok- i'm in on the pull rope type of sledding, never tried that before!  [thumbsup]

Alan, you missed a pretty awesome mod party at Charles' house!  Lyndy's monster looked great.  Charles and his wife were amazing hosts.  Be sure to check out the pics!

Charles is always a great host!!  Sorry I couldn't make it, but the pics look great, and so does the bike!

Went riding yesterday morning, temp in low-mid 70's, 120 miles round trip, 3.5 hours.

I went south yesterday to the northern applicachian mts and man was it great!  I left about 8 in the morning and it seemed like I was the only one on the road.  Nice cool weather, perfect for full leathers!  I went down highway 9 for about 45 miles, over 100, 25-45 mph turns (posted) (constant hills) then went down 43 and again more of the same.  Then went through jefferson lake state park, which was just awesome.  twisties on cliff sides, elevation changes from going down one side to up the other side.  It was great.  Couldn't find the camera, but I will probally do it again next weekend and will take the camera.  I wish you guys could have been here it was beautiful!!!  I rode for about 3.5 hours and was home by noon to spend some quality time with mindy.

That sounds like a pretty good ride.  I'm quite a bit jealous.

It was great!  Just wish I could have found the camera.  But It has been found and its a long weekend, I just might have to do it again!

At least the riding's good... Snowing next week?!?

I wouldn't doubt it!!  Man riding to work in the morning is starting to suck!  Its getting down in the low 50's at night! BRRRRRRRR!!!  But it makes up for it in the afternoon!  high 70's to low 80's!  After 8ish its pretty good!

Funny you should ask.

It was a delightful afternoon, I had run home for lunch.  Grab a bite to eat, say hello to my roommates, feed the dogs, and sit for a second.  Lunch went quite well.  Then I treked back to work.  My drive to work makes use of a four lane city street.  I am casually making it through the city, the drivers in Ohio are quite awful and require quite a bit of caution.  Then I leave a traffic light and head down a hill.  On the otherside of this hill I make notice of a van.  This van is in the left lane, so as  I become nearer to it I change lanes to the right.  Well, apparently he was planning on turning left, yet used no signal to inform me of such information, and thusly got in my lane.  So I switch lanes back to the left.  My guess is in that instant that we were both in the same lane he saw me behind him and so he gets in the right lane again, to, and I am assuming here, get out of my way.  So now dude is back in my lane, so I pop back over in to the right lane.  Now I hadn't really been using a lot of brake during this, mostly because I thought most people have the sense to get in a lane and stay in it, and didn't forsee the situation becoming what it had and I was leaning the bike back and forth a bit and didn't want to take unnecessary risk.  He had been slowing down some so, again assuming here, he could make his turn.  Well, as a changed lanes to the right for the last time I was passing his van.  In that instant that we had both again shared the left lane he must of seen me and decided to get back over to the right.  Well as he made this decision he came over and hit my front wheel as my foot hit his bumper.  This sent me in to the curb and right over it.  So now I am in the grass riding in the rivet caused by a parking lot curb in between that and the sidewalk.  I was pretty relieved that I hadn't run in to any street poles as a came to that location.  As I was in this rivet, realizing that I may well pull this off I look up and there is MonsterUV parrellel parked with the parking lot curb, where, at the very least, my handlebars would smash into and send the bike in to the broadside.  As I try to lean the bike it isn't going any where and I come to the realization that it is time to abandon ship.  So I throw my ass off to the side, wait a second and jump.  The jump sends the bike under the too bigUV and me out in to the street.  I jump up to go turn off the bike and all of the sudden, a sharp jolt shoots up my leg and I fall right back down.  So I get back up on one foot hop over to the bike and turn it off.  Then sit there and see a hole in my shin and decide that it is in my best interest to hold it shut.  Too wrap things up, the ambulance came and took me to the ER, I broke 4 metatarsals and dislocated one of those and an ankle bone.  The guy did stop, because he thought I was in the wrong.  Said I was doing eighty, when at the ticket hearing the stand alone witness said her Hyundai was a car length away from me.  The light was less than a quarter mile away.  That is a fast Hyundai.  So now I took the aftermarket parts of the bike and I need to go pick up my check for it and have the salvage company come pick it up.

Dammit, that's a painful story.......how long ago was that?  Have you fully recovered?  I have almost wrecked a few times due to ppls inability to drive a car with any common sense.  It can be very frustrating.  Sorry about that, man....... Do you have another bike yet? :P

It happened at the end of May.  I'm mostly all right.  I don't know about playing soccer right now, but otherwise I'm pretty good.  No new bike yet though.  I figure I'll just wait to see what people are trying to unload at the end of the season.  I would like to make a cafe racer so hopefully I can find an older one on the cheap.  That or get an sv650, I saw where someone swapped out the ridiculous rear on it with a monster seat and it looks really good.  Maybe try and find an older Monster?  Don't know right now?

I think there'll be plenty of bikes on the market once the new models come out...

It is the sports I played in high school: Football, wrestling, track, cross country.  I dropped soccer after freshman years so didn't include it.

The PS is a great bike!!  I personally did not like the seating position with the clip ons under the top triple.  I felt like I was just laying on my wrists, my neck was killing me from holding my neck up to see,  plus the tank smashed the jewels. :'(

Yeah, I've always wondered how you guys handle that.........  Anyway, the seating position on ps just seems to fit for me. I have learned to ride without leaning on my wrists, although when i get tired I still tend to do that.  I actually put clip ons on the monster that are under the top triple also, guess I just like riding like that - I feel more in control of the bike in the corners.   The monster def performs better than the ps on all levels, but I ride the ps harder because it is more forgiving.  I love both of the bikes.  It would be hard to choose between them, it really depends on the mood!!  ;)

I rode my monster to an Oktoberfest this past weekend only to find out that it was a FRI/SAT event (of course I rolled in on a SUN afternoon).
