I'm glad I got to experience the monster in the early 2000's. I would not buy the current model. :-[

...yup.  I remember my "new" 2009 M1100 being an outrage.... with half the trellis gone missing.  But surely this.... this.... new... thing..... It's zero Monster.

The only similarity between earlier Monsters (yeah I include my M1100 in that) is the upwardly mobile designer label on the tank.

Bland.  Dull.  Uninspiring.  Puke  [puke]

Do you all remember the launch of the 696? The internet was on fire. Now? Oh well...

I noticed that Ducati talk about brakes in their much too usual bla bla way; dedicated braking system, ensure high performance, excellent manageability, refined, dedicated friction material, more modulable... = poor?

The gap between good Ducati bikes and the cheap, although not actually cheap ones is growing too wide. The V4 bikes are too demanding for 95% of their owners, this Monster is not good enough for anyone. The result might be a brand of garage queens. 45,000 km valve check intervals surely won't make mechanics of the owners.

This bike is a little stretched seat to bars and a little lighter. I suppose that good news  [roll]

Dunno why it's not highlighted in linky blue....  (I made it blue for ya)
With the SMF software you have to manually add color. The underline is very subtle. I didn't see it originally.

Yeah...nothing like Galluzzi's creation.

Amongst all things, good ... Shoulder still an issue, surgery is at least 1yr away, got an insurance to cover me(as per many insurance companies, I am too old) ... New dog is almost, aaaaalmost 100% house broken, still has quirks that are slowly going away ...
At times after work, I just select youtube and whichever podcast/documentary I see first or whichever video is first, I almost don't look at my phone ... Too tired from screens ...

I'm too lazy to play the link to a photo site game.... so here's the URL linky:

All New Ducati Monster

But I'll spoil it for you.  The Audification continues.....  Still gone is the trellis frame.... dry clutch... Newly gone is the Desmo valve train.

It's barely a Ducati amymore & it's certainly no Monster  :(
