When I was frequenting bars...our favorite bartender made a Marg with Cuervo Gold, Grand Marnier, and lime. Salted rim, naturally. Yum...didn't need anything else. He called it a Grand Gold.

I suspect that most of the replacement rubber and plastic parts will be similar between the 1996 900 and the 2000 750. I believe even the carbs are close as the rebuild kits state 600/750/900. Just bore size and jetting for the differences.
I have downloaded the parts manual from Ducati Omaha's website and will start poring through it over the weekend.

12.9s are in good supply from my local bolt specialist. For some reason 8.8s aren't available in some sizes any more. The gold colour of the oem 8.8 of the nineties is hard to find here.The 12.9s are so bright they look like highly polished stainless.

IIRC, hardened steel.
Older bolts were 8.8 grade. When replacing them, I always used that grade or higher.

I ordered a box of 12.9's one time b/c I liked the finish better.

I woke up a little after 0400. Took the dog out at 0500, but it was too cold for her.
