Morning. The downsides of living on the second floor of a duplex are when the dog wants out at 0330.

I'm attending the yearly local safety conference tomorrow. Hoping to meet some people, make an impression, and get a job interview or two.

We are going to try another exhaust on this bike seeking more power through the rev range. Various dyno tests supplied by different exhaust manufacturers seem to indicate that the current exhaust is too long by approximately 225-300mm depending on pipe diameter. The pipe to be tested will probably not make more peak hp, but my enquiries appear to support a shorter total exhaust length giving 2-4 more hp throughout the bottom end and mid range. My local dyno guy has had this view from the beginning, so we'll see if he's correct. The decible level reported by the manufacturer is moderate for a perforated core, straight baffle type muffler with claims of a deep note rather than a high frequency raspy sound.
I'll update when we try it.

The day after his mother-in-law disappeared in a kayaking accident, a Twillingate, Newfoundland man answered his door to find two grim-faced RCMP officers.

"We're sorry Mr. Flynn, but we have some information about your mother-in-law," said one of the officers.

Tell me! Did you find her?” Cedric Flynn asked.

The Mounties looked at each other.

One said, "We have some bad news, some good news, and some really great news. Which would you like to hear first?"

Fearing the worst, Flynn said, "Give me the bad news first."

The RCMP officer said, "I'm sorry to tell you, sir, but this morning we found your mother-in-law's body in the bay."

"Lord sufferin' Jaysus!" exclaimed Flynn. "What could possibly be the good news?"

The officer continued, "When we pulled her up, she had 12 of the best looking Atlantic lobsters you could ever hope to see clinging to her. Haven't seen lobsters like that since the 1960's, and we feel you are entitled to a share in the catch."

Stunned, Flynn demanded, "If that's the good news, then what's the great news?"

The officer replied, "We're gonna pull her up again tomorrow."
