Hey, do you guys and gals ever meet for coffee and/or breakfast on Saturday or Sunday mornings? If not, I propose a Sunday morning breakfast/coffee meet in Old Town. There is something special about hitting the road in the morning when it's cool and there are few cars on the road. It's nice to park out front of a small diner or coffee shop with a bunch of other bikes and talking bikes, racing, etc. while checking eachothers' rides out in the morning sun.

Cheers! [thumbsup]

We used to have that a few years ago. Breakfast/coffee and then a good ride. Hell, we did them before the MAD rides for a while.

1 weekend I made waffles.

Otherwise, the local contingent would meet at one of 2 coffee/bakeries either down by the water in OT (on S. Lee, I think) or S. Washington St before heading for a ride. And, when we got back, go to Southside or Union St.

Ahh.. memories.... I need to come home.

It has been my experience that an early start for most of the CAMers is sometime after 9, depending on previous nights activties. - Gene

For the northern contingent, I am just off 270 in Gaithersburg and more than  happy to host breakfast/coffee/monkey bread/eggs or even an after-ride BBQ.
Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Monkey Bread RULES!!!...and her MOAG (Mother Of All Grills as it was coined by LisaG) would be great for BBQ'ing!

I think Cg's trying to drum up some interest for a more regular event.

IN the Alex/Arlington area there's a few early birds.  One spot I've had people meet me at is Best Buns in Shirlington... since it close to me.  But it also offers coffee lots of fresh baked goodies and sandwiches.  Also there's a gas station across the street.  So just putting that notion out there.

Mishas in Old Town usually has a handful of bikes outside on a given weekend morning.

Yep, just gauging interest for an occasional morning meet for those of you who like to get out and about in the morning. I am a morning person and rarely drink, so I don't have to worry about hang overs. I do like to enjoy a Pint of Guinness  [drink] now and then, but my hang over days are over.

Speaking of MAD, I just joined the club and will be attending the Italian bike extravaganza in a couple of weeks.

Definitely a morning person, but I teach on  Saturday mornings.  I wouldn't be averse to heading to VA first thing on a Sunday morning.
