My bike is getting there, but the dull top triple laughs in my face. Not even an adjuster wheel....

I'm keeping the SpeedyMoto risers. There's probably nothing happening to the fork's externals. Powdercoating is on the table.
Other suggestions?

You can take it off and polish it.  You'd be surprised how shiny and cool-looking you can make the stock tiple look.
Occasionally AFM #702  My stuff:  The M1000SS, a mashed r6, Vino 125, the Blonde, some rugrats, yuppie cage, child molester van, bourbon.

If your gonna polish it, strip the paint of with paint stripper first. Makes your life ALOT easier.

+1  Aircraft remover (I think you can buy it at Walmart now) works wonders.  Spray on. Let sit for a few minutes.  Wipe off.  Done.

As far as polishing goes though, I hope you have some patience.  I think it's relaxing to go through the steps and just hang out with a beer and some music, but I have a lot of friends who've gone crazy and quit halfway through a job because it was taking them too long.  Do it right though and it will look almost like chrome.

Polishing rant aside, I think that may attract waaaaaay too much attention to that part of the bike.  I think it looks pretty good as is.  Maybe a light charcoal color on both triples?  It would blend a bit better with the black bits in the cock pit and really accentuate the fork tubes.

The tops of my forks on my S2R 800 have had a little mod work done, when they ripped out the springs the top of the fork was damaged (the nut was badly rounded and pretty sad to look at), so they machined it down and drilled 2 holes in it for tightening it back up, they ordered a new top, when I saw the machined new top I asked for the replacement to made the same, I love the look.
I'll go and get a photo and let you have a look.

It doesn't change anything on the top triple, but I think it looks better. I was thinking about polishing the top triple, but I figured it might be a bit reflective.
As you can see the left is normal, the right is the Modified top, they are going to give it a clean and polish for when they make the other one, it was only mean to be a temporary piece, but I like it much better than the OEM top.
