I don't know where he's at, but I yanked my pump out, and pulled it from the assembly. Leaving it plugged in and lowered it into a tub of gas produced nothing. I think it's an impellor type pump but it isn't pumping anything. Long story short I got my hands on another one it'll ship Monday. The assembly from the dealership was quoted at $1000.04  :o I got just the pump/shipped for $150 used. God, I'm soooooo ready to be riding!!!

Try direct wiring the fuel pump before calling it DOA It could be that power is not getting to the pump or ground from the pump as well.
It does not have to be immersed in anything and usual disclaimers about fuel and sparks.

I did that that is how I figured out that it was faulty. It's doing what it's supposed to(pump action), only nothing happens it just whirs away with no fuel movement.

Not to insult but are you sure you did not have the wires backwards?
pumps will run in reverse but not pump.
All of the pumps I have seen that were bad (had 2 myself) were siezed and would not spin at all.

Well now that is interesting.... it's hooked up through a harness, but with the complete disassembly and rebuilding of the bike it's feasible some wires got reversed. I'll go thry it real fast!
