Who knew that deer are so damn vicious!

When bucks are in rut (horny during the breeding season), they are pretty agressive.

Which is why I make a point of carrying a .30-06 when I go hunting. And an RPG.

I carry a Smith Model 66, .357 in addition to the hunting rifle du jour.  Just in case a deer or a make the beast with two backsing donkey tries to sneak up on me....also helps to put the deer down in case I didnt kill it with the first shot.  A little more sophisticated than buckshot or a .45-70 imo
