I'd be weary of Farmers, I tried to switch to them for the bike coverage since Liberty Mutual is expensive and uncompetitive.  However, I was setting up the policy and they were supposed to send me out the final copies to sign.  I never got them ... then about two months later I got a notice from a collections agency for a premium for them, even though I never signed any policy.  I got it cleared up, but that wasn't what I would expect.

I had something similar happen to me with Farmers for an auto insurance policy. Tongue

I'm glad I am not alone.

For Liberty Mutual, I just started a policy for the townhouse in Hayward and it was around $300/year.  I can give you my agent's info if you guys want to have him quote it out for you.

We've got State Farm and have had two claims (one fire, one oak tree falling on the house) and despite all this stuff I've read about you getting dropped if you file a claim, they're still happy to take our money.  Plus if you insure cars/bikes with them you get a discount on the whole package. I suppose that's fairly standard, but it still is nice.
