When was the last time you had the "kid in a candy store" feeling?

I was out shopping w/ my parents today. It wasn't anything really special. We went to a Kinokunia (Japanese book store) and then I remembered what it was like when I was little kid. So many cool things to look at that I really didn't have any clue what they said (I can't read Japanese). Anime action figures, cool pencils (I collect interesting pencils), nifty little lead cases, mangas (comic books I can't read), model books (think NeufUnSix's level of detail models except fictional things like Gundams  ;D). I almost got to the point where I was putting out my arms and "flying" around the store like a little kid, buzzing from one item to the next. It was fun.  ;D In the end I only got a pencil.  :P But it's a cool pencil.  ;)

This summer at a big Cobalt boat dealer - fun to look, even though I couldn't afford the sales tax on some of the big boats.

If you drive the nicest car in the neighborhood, work in a cash business, and don't pay taxes, you're either a preacher or a drug dealer...

My local hobby "shop" is one of the largest wholesalers in North America. I spend way too much time browsing the ailes. It's probably 10 000 + square feet, with boxes stacked to the roof. You could spend a lot of money in there.

We have a few collectible toy stores here in Montreal - Anime, movie, TV, videogame stuff. Two of them have full sized T800 replicas for sale.

Honestly, I feel that way every time I step foot in a home improvement store. This reminded me, and on the literal tip, I went here a couple years ago, and I felt like a kid in Willy Wonka's factory where all the oompa loopas wore lab coats, spoke French and took candy waaay to seriously.  Freaking ridiculously good chocolate, though.

umm, sat when i walked past the toy store and saw the star wars legos.

my g/f had to drag me out. it was hilarious. i even stomped my feet and told her she was the worst parents ever.  [laugh]
Life, alas is very drear. Up with the glass and down with the beer!
