Sorry to hear of the bad news.  I was laid off 4 months ago when the small company I was working for ran out of money.  Good luck to all of us "consultants".

Sorry to hear, hopefully you can find something near you or worst case scenario relocate.
My wife's job dried up and blew away about 2 months ago, thankfully I make enough to see us through.
Knock on wood, I look to be safe for the foreseeable future.

Sorry to hear. Seems to be spreading - hadn't been many layoffs down here in Louisiana due to oil, but now seems to be starting. Good luck finding something else.

Sorry to hear Opatio.  Might be a good time to try out another country or make a career change.  I work in Utah and actually train our company's tech support dept (wages are pretty low here in utah, but so is cost of living).  Our company is very stable and growing, but I realize a lot of others aren't.

Really sorry to hear that Optiato.   All my family and friends are in Michigan and they're being let go left and right or are dealing with the repercussions from others being let go.  I just sent my pregnant sister money today.  She's working 3 part time jobs (real estate is/was her primary source of income) and her husband's hours were drastically cut.  Their finances are not bad but not ok either.  She's not going to be happy getting the money (pride) but I can tell her it's for my 3 yr. old nephew and the soon to be newbie.

Hang in there and be more resourceful than the next guy!  Sell what you need to sell.  It will get better.

You're a good man.
