Fork Sliders...what do they save in a crash?

Fork sliders look fairly insignificant, so I was wondering what gets damaged without them.

I'll be installing Frame sliders soon, so wondering about the forks.  Anything else I should consider for keeping my S4R safe?

You'd be surprised what hits the ground in a crash.

In retrospect, rear axle sliders would have been a good investment.

I can't wait until Marquez gets on his level and makes Jorge trip on his tampon string.

The RHINOMOTO Front Axle Slider: Ducati/Aprilia  saved my fork lowers and calipers in my last low side.

When my 999R was hit in the parking lot, the only thing that touched down was the bar end sliders, solid footpeg and the front and rear axle sliders.

I have not seen any downsides with the axle sliders.
