glad you made it safe & sound .... reminds me of an overweight "courier" I saw on a late model 80's cruser yamaha 1ooo; he had 4 parcels 2 largish; as he was loading i was asking how are you going to carry all that ?  Quote "oh i do this all the time"; Couldn't fit the largest box (looks like theres a tire in it) on the luggage rack; so he puts it in front of himself on the tank .... takes off ... I hear the bike rounding the block then see him rounding the corner making a left at a major intersection; the box on the tank; catches an updraft and hits him in the face and sticks there ... ya! like in a movie ... he manages to bat it down and lucky not "beast with 2 backs"-ing crash!
