Its not gravity, its the population boom on the other side of the planet.  Their weight is pushing our ground into us.

now that i think about it the ground is getting harder, when i slowed myself down with my helmet after wrecking a year and a half ago, it seemed to hurt a bit, but from what i recall when i was younger i did that several times and it didn't phase me what so ever so it must be gettin harder

The ground is getting softer. How else do you explain how i track mud into the house after walking from my car, across my blacktop driveway onto my fieldstone porch and into the house?
