Can the conversion be done?  Is the frame different or could I just buy a biposto seat and swap them.. Thanks.

it's a biposto with a cover.

The 2006 was mono only. Different seat, different seat cowl, but I'm pretty sure you can swap seats between the two.

Anything is possible. The frames are not the same, nor is the swingarm. The 06 has the shock on the left and the exhaust on the right, while the 07-and-up have dual rear shocks and symmetrical exhaust, a la DSS Monsters, with the exhaust attached to the rearsets.

So, assuming the rearsets and exhaust cleared the shock on the left side, and that the seats are compatible, it should be possible. But we all know what happens when you assume.

I don't have ready access to mine to check, but I am pretty sure there are some other things that might present an issue.  One such is the fact that the rear brake master cylinders mount up at different points between the mono and the bi.
