If i used a hot glue gun to glue 2 separate LED boards together, (hot glue is probably around 300 degrees) would i damage any of the circuitry?  i want to glue the edge of two boards. at a 45 degree angle. dont ask why.  :-\ i dont have a good reason. 8)

You are not going to apply direct heat to any of the solder so it should be fine [thumbsup]

Yep, the wave solder machine that soldered all the connections in the first place ran a lot hotter than that.

If there are no components or traces near the edges being glued then you should be ok.  Just don't dawdle around with it; glue it and be done to limit the thermal input as most consumer electronics can't handle elevated temperatures for long.  Also depending on the type of solder used to manufacture the board you could elevate the temperature of the solder joints enough to cause a phase change without actually totally melting the solder and end up with a weakend solder joint that will be more susceptble to fail under any kind of vibration loads.

ME, but I package electronics that run at 350F continuous and above for a living.

Solder melts around 650 to 700F.

You should be fine.

Why do you wanna glue two boards together?
