i was looking at the "bikemaster" clubman bars, and am interested to see if they would fit my 620

Does anybody know if it needs any modifications to fit. or will it just not?

specs on the bar:

What is that thing supposed to go on?

It clamps onto the stock bar mount, then swings down to offer a position similar to clip-ons.

Here's a representative sample

I'd say "buy em" as long as the diameter is the same (7/8") and you plan on mounting them lower than stock, there should be no problems.
I own several motorcycles. I have owned lots of motorcycles. And have bolted and/or modified lots of crap to said motorcycles...

thats exactly what im going for....just with different bar end mirrors
im a big fan of cafe racers

but do you think itll fit the stock clamps? or should i just experiment?

Oh, interesting...call 'em up and ask what the diameter of the bar is.  Don't waste time ordering and shipping back if they don't fit.

It says right in the ad that they're 7/8".

that means they'll fit  ;)

and, IMO, as much as I love all things cafe racer... proper clubman bars look a lil... odd... on the monster

:edit: I think it's because of the trellis frame... suburban machinery bars fit the look of the bike, but are a bit pricey...  :-\

yeah....i dont have much money anymore after ordering all the parts i need to get it running....
but im still wondering if these clubmans, will have enough clearance around the forks to not need risers

Smokescreen

I don't know about your model, but when I put Suburban Machinery bars on an M900 I found that the SV650 type II bars fit better than the Monster bars.  The monster bars made adjusting the front suspension impossible, and pushing the fork legs impossible too.  At that point I'd put on a 749s fork and the adjusters didn't even fit under the SM Monster bars, but the SV650 bars were a tight fit.  As in, had to put spacers under the cluster and raise it a couple centimeters.  But behind the flyscreen, it looks great now, and the SM bars rock.  In fact, I had a set on my (wayward) SV650bent back into shape after a car hit her, and they worked great until a guard rail attacked them.  Even then they didn't break, they just looked like those clubman bars, ony upside down.

I'd say you might want to save your moneys and jump for the SM bars.  Since your bike's suspension is non-adjustable, you might even get away with the Monster version.  But whatever happens, you'll get ot deal with SM's outstanding customer service, and that alone is worth the markup.
