Last season i managed to dump my bike the day before i put it away, i got a sweet tank ding and bent bars.  I recently bought some rimoza bars.  How hard is it to take the old bars off, and put the new ones on?  I"m some what hands on. I"m assuming i need to take off the brake and clutch cables.. i'm not sure if i want to mess with that though ?? I also dont want to pay for some one to do it haha..  it's a 02 620 Monster..  maybe this is a good learning oportunity for me to start.  I do my own oil changes and small stuff, but never really messed with the cables before.

Remove Left Grip. Remove Right Throttle assembly. Remove left clutch master + lever. Remove right brake master + lever. Remove left controls. Remove right controls. Remove 4 bolts clamping down bars. Remove Bars. Install in reverse order. Or whatever order you want...
Just take everything off, put everything back on. To make it super easy, I'd install a set of Rizoma Sportline grips while your at it. Removes the worry of your left grip being loose after reinstall.

Are your bars pre-drilled for controls? There is a little nubbin on the throttle and cold-start controls that requires a small hole drilled in the bars to properly locate. Simple solution is to grind of the nubbins on the controls, rather than drill the bars. Just put some electrical tape down under each set of controls to prevent them from slipping. Trust me (and many others)... It works fine.

It's an easy job. Firs thing I ever did on any bike.

Okay thanks i'll give it a shot.  No they are not pre drilled, i will grind off like you suggested and pick up a set of sportline grips
