Nope.  Think this might be the 1st I've heard of one going walk-about.

Just not your week man.  Hope it gets better
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

I think I remember hearing of one jumping ship while underway, but it's not common at all.

Good excuse to get a shiny aftermarket one!  :)

That's amazing, I've never heard of that actually happening. I will never joke about how ridiculous it is to have to safety wire them for the track again. Which reminds me, I just found out that Cornerspeed changed their tech specs in 09 for beginner riders. The oil plug and the oil cap can be secured with silicon rather than safety wiring now.
...CRG bar-ends, DIY tail chop, open clutch cover, open timing belt cover, stainless clutch springs w/black caps, Bitubo top-mount steering damper, 14-t front sprocket, integrated LED smoked tail light, clear front mini signals, full Termi exhaust, DP open airbox, DP ECU, suspension tuned by DucPond Racing, flipped handlebars, titanium Rizoma reservoirs, DIY chopped bikini fairing, DucDual headlights w/halos, mini CF rear chain guard, pro-grips, misplaced emissions canister...

I'd rather safety wire....not that hard and is secure no matter what if done right.

You're not alone... Cap popped off a friend's bike in WV at about 120mph... had to chase him down and let him know he was smoking.  :o

Amazing part was it was a group of 3 of us and the two of us following had seen it pop off and bounce off the road and the other guy we were with actually managed to go back and find it along the freeway!  [thumbsup]
