Which other Ducati shock fits M695

Any of you 695 owners swapped another shock in from another Ducati ?
Which one will fit and if longer did it mess up the geometry and make the chain drag
I  need to improve my rear as I am scrapping pipes and need to harden up.

I havent done it yet but I have a 749 shock that I will try and get on one day, its the same length and the only thing thats stopping me is the reservoir thats mounted on the side. I think I will need to get in there and move some things around to make it fit. I have not heard of anyone doing a swap but it will not just drop in (749 shock).

i just put a 999 showa in mine.  i had to remove the breather box and make a mounting plate for the coil and reg./rectifier

Shocks from '01 S4 and all '02 and later non-S*R Monsters, will fit.
M696 and M1100 won't fit.
