Well, I sold the Monster this weekend.  Tomorrow I'll close on my new to me VFR800.  It was kind of sad to see the Monster go, but I have no qualms about moving to a VFR for a lot of reasons.

1) My wife will be able to come along for the ride.  I genuinely miss taking her along and sharing how much fun motorcycling can be.  Surprisingly enough, it has a pretty decent passenger pillion. [moto]

2) The VFR I found is in AMAZING condition for quite a bit less than I sold my Monster for.  This bike looks showroom new, but is 7 years old.  [thumbsup]

3) I'd like to take a few more long trips like the 900 mile weekend to Deals Gap that I did last year.  The VFR will accommodate that a bit better. (Hopefully without tickets, unlike last time) [leo]

4) In a year or two, I'll be able to buy another duc, this time a superbike! [evil]  [evil] [evil] [evil] [evil] [evil] For now I am on a one bike budget.  But the beauty of this bike is that my spend is drastically reduced to allow the 1198 fund to grow.  I'll be back, but with a whole different type of Monster.

I certainly will miss those torquey power wheelies...

If anyone happens to stumble across a nice set of hard luggage for an Interceptor, I may be interested.

Hopefully you're saying farewell to the Duc and not us.

2 wheels works for me.

Just because the Duc is gone doesn't mean you have to leave here.
Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.
