After 4 years, a crap ton of miles, trips all over the country/beyond, and countless learning experiences... it's finally time to put the little duc up for sale.   Cry
The baja trip really made it clear that I don't have a need for two naked sport bikes, that I really do need either a long distance mount or something I can take off the beaten path.  The duc can do both, but neither one all the comfortably or confidently.

That said, if anyone knows someone looking for a starter 2005 Ducati Monster 620 (the year with the good brakes, slipper clutch, and larger metal tank), asking price is $4500, OBO of course,
47k miles with new heads (ported, polished, and loved by Duckstu, about 1700 miles on em now) and a solid bottom end,
Full luggage setup including saddle bags, tail bag, and tank bag,
Rearstand,
Ducati performance gel seat,
Nichols Flywheel,
Recent clutch,
New Battery,
Service completed for the next 4000 miles,
Suspension re-sprung/revalved front and rear for a 200 pounder by BCM in NH.
box of random spares,
and more stories then you'd have time to hear if it could talk.   waytogo

Bike's never been down, so it definitely doesn't look like it has as many miles as it does.   Grin
Let me know if anyone is interested!
Thanks!

I've got a friend of a friend looking for a bike.
He says the S4R of MrIncredibles I was trying to cram down his throat is too big and intimidating  Tongue
He loves Ducati but wants an 848; or R6.   Huh?  laughingdp

Ya, I don't know.  115 hp is too much, but 135hp is just right.

Maybe the numbers 620 will be the right thing for his ears.

Currently I'm just a couple miles from work, so mostly I'm pedaling back and forth to get back into shape.   Grin
And the Brute is still out at Pescadero for weekend rides/moto fixes.  Not quite sure what I'm going to do at the moment.  Leaning towards a used touring/dual sport something or other.  Maybe a bimmer but who knows. Just has to have a smoooottthhh motor and be at least semi comfy.

I was so bummed when I sold my 620. I still wish I would've kept as a second bike. Good luck on the sale, I'm sure it'll go fast.

I totally expect to regret selling the bike, but after waffling around with it for the last year and a half, I've finally made up my mind.
Love it, hope to keep it in the area, but it's time to find it a new home.   Cry
