I own a 02 monster 620 and this winter drained the tank and removed it to get it painted. Well after that I reassembled everthing and It fired right up ran 5 minutes and died slowly and after it died I would turn it over and it would just click multiple times I had a battery tender on, fresh gas in it, I have Spark, Air flow is not restrianed at all, immobilizer is normal, "I assumed my battery took a sht but load tested it and it was very good, the bike turned over perfect and when it ran for the 5 minutes it ran beautiful warmed up idled just as the year before, but now I am assuming I needed to prime the fuel pump after it sucked the gas from the lines dry, pump whines when the key is turned on but it wont start, turns over good, plugs have spark but are wet seem to be flooded, and pop starting didnt work it seemeed to favor it though it tried to run but give her a little gas it was done, so after many hours of f ing around and looking at this site I came to many conclusions. Then went to bar,got home and drenched a rag in gas plopped it on top the air filter turned it over and holy fck it started, even though I would pull the plugs and they were soaked before, so now I assume I have air in the fuel lines but was wondering if anyone else had anything like this and the best way to cure the problem any help is appreciated

The pump is self priming.

Since it ran for 5 minutes, I'd almost bet a fuel line came off inside the tank.

Open the cap and look inside to see if you can see gas shooting around in there.
