It absolutely is.

so belt break = bent valves

the problem i have is that i'm on my 2nd set of  clusters and don't have a clue how many Km's i have on it ...but it is an 06

i know you guys will say change because of age ...but ...you know if i can strech the time i would like to

hooligan machinist

Any idea how long since the last change?
I'm tempted to tell you that you should be ok for a while yet. But since you're worried enough to ask, the Bucci belts that Chris Kelley sells at ca-cycleworks are cheap enough insurance. I change mine every 2 years regardless of mileage.

Desmosedici - it's the new Paso (except the bodywork doesn't fit as well)

  You are both very welcome.
Nigel, when you said yours is an 06 i assumed they had been changed at least once already.
Since they haven't, i'd definately give Chris a call. Or just go on the web site and place an order.

Changed Rivers' belts at 9500 miles due to age and found both tensioner roller bearings on the vertical cylinder siezed and the belt nearly worn through!  If you plan on waiting a bit longer, at least check the belts & rollers, ok?
