i'm confused. there are no plastic threads. the bolt goes through the mirror into the base. the mirror is clamped down.

have you taken it to the dealership. supposed this is an issue and they help pay for new mirrors or something.

i bought some bar end mirrors similar to the rizoma retros, but haven't been able to install them due to finding the right bar end adaptors. i wish i could afford the rizoma prototype mirrors Asado has on his bike...

what are those mirrors?  Not the bar ends for sure, cuz they are mounted more where stock would be in your pic.  I would LUV those, I think.....please, tell me what they are??!!

i had the same problem that i had solved in a very easy way...
reverse the plugs where you screw the mirrors in so that when you're riding air will tight the screws and not untight them..
after that..everything worked just fine.. [thumbsup]

Until you're splitting lanes, clip a mirror, and it turns your bars for you, and you take a spill under a tire.

Besides that, once the mirror is at the point where you can't tighten it anyway, swapping sides isn't going to help.  the thing just won't screw down.
