07 OEM Wheels, Paint or Powdercoat?

G'day all

The S2R 800 OEM wheels, do they come as a painted wheel or powder coated wheel?

I always thought they were powdercoated, but speaking to one of Australia's largest rim repairers he claims they are painted, mine has some scrapes and scratches around the edge of the rim from Tyre changing (long Story)

Any thoughts on the paint vs Powdercoat debate?

can't answer your initial question, but overall i'd have to say powdercoated wheels stand up over time better.  but you could probably get a glossier finish with paint.  mine are powdercoated and really clean up easily and no chips...     now let some experts give you the real deal

Marchensini only paints their wheels never pc.

Well there you go, I looked closely at the wheels we have here and they are a painted finish.
