How big of a job was installing the longer brake line? was there any bleeding involved (aside from the brake of course)?

I had my dealer install them since the bike sat for a few weeks waiting on the various parts to arrive.  The new line will need to have the same fittings as stock and you definitely need to bleed the brake after installation.  Spiegler has a good page on custom lines: http://www.spieglerusa.com/cfm/customline.cfm

Did you buy the 848 tires and rims or trade?

They were traded as part of the original bike deal.
