Over the past few months, I've detailed my adventures of my new to me S4.   First it ate the fuel pump wiring, which they replaced, then it was starting to do it again (it appeared), then it started cutting out, real bad, at real inopportune times, like boogieing down the freeway.  Now remember, I bought this bike used from these guys, as is, and signed a statement to that fact when I bought it, as is, no warranty, expressed or implied.   So in the first month and a half, it was back down to the dealership three times, they came and got it twice, I brought it once, 90 miles more or less one way, and I was getting a little gun shy about buying it.  I was thinking I should have bought an RC-51 or big SV or even a (gasp) Aprilia.  So the last time they fixed it, I went down there, brought my helmet and took quite a little putt, since it was only going about 10 miles between riding in the back of the Ducati Van.  Needless to say, it runs like a sunofapregnant dog.   I am riding it every day.  It's got big time midrange and scoots down the road exactly like it should.

I'd like to thank those guys, Carlin and Trevor Dunne, for doing the good job and fixing the bike.  They could have hung me out to dry and I wouldn't have had a leg to stand on (legally).   And they cut me a half price deal on a set of Stealth sprockets for the bike.   And there is no doubt I would buy another bike from them.

Thanks, Guys.  Good luck with your dealership.

+1. Seems like we usually only hear the pregnant doging about problems, but this is helpful, too.

Duc of SB is my "local" (120+ miles) dealer. I've only had dealings with them a couple times, but they have always done a great job, and have been more than helpfull

Carlin gave me a better deal on my 696, m1100 trade up then my original dealer by A-LOT and when my 2 day old gas tank leaked they pulled the tank off a floor bike and did a quick swap instead of making me waite for them to order one ( who knows how long that would have taken ) the first service was worth every cent of the $225 they charged the mech's Trever and Sam are golden in my book.

Besides the initial burnt fuel pump wiring, the sidestand safety/neutral switch was shorting out.   So far, it's been working fine (after they fixed it).

Yes' there are good dealers out there and it's great to hear their praises sung. [clap]
