Been riding about 10 years now and thought I needed more after my sv650.  Got a z1000 and went for a ride with two other guys.  My main friend was on an R1 and the other guy was on a bone stock '03 SV650.  The fella on the SV is a former AMA Formula Extreme champion.  Needless to say, it was totally humbling and humiliating.  He smoked us in the first 1/4 mile of every stretch of road and threw in a couple wheelies to set us straight.  I got the s2r1k and crashed that immediately after getting it.  I have learned finally that less is more sometimes.  I ride dirt a little too and feel I am better on a 250f than a 450f.  If anyone cares.
