only thing whiter is my skin!

« on: April 26, 2009, 05:46:49 PM »

Didn't think I'd get to ride this weekend, but the weather cooperated this afternoon, the stars aligned and I had 3 hours to myself to make a Deckers run (and back).  The road was clear, had it basically to myself!  51 degrees was a little chilly, but not too bad and I can't complain as that's what kept all the wankers off the road so late in the afternoon (1pm-2pm)!

Except for the cute car club.  This is the second time some car club has been heading to Deckers when I'm already on my way back.  Are cars that much slower, or do 4-wheel slobs just get up that much later in the day?  Wink

Anyway, it was about 6 Honda S2000's, a Corvette, a Lotus, and an Evo.  Felt like I was riding through a parking lot.  Grin

Met another 848 rider named Diego (again, can't swing a dead cat without hitting some tasteless bastard on a white 848) in Deckers, who reported that 67 was also smooth sailing all the way up to 285.

Now for an 8 day work week...glad I got a ride in before that!

I'd rather be the guy who heads up the medium group and stays there, than the one who starts out leading the fast group...and then ends up in the back!  laughingdp
