Monsterless Interloper…

Hello, and thanks for allowing me to register and post here even though I don’t own any monsters…

YET!

I do have quite a few bikes in my stable, but at this time they are all Japanese:

Kawasaki 04 EX250, 98 EX500 - Suzuki 01 GS500, 03 GSXR750 - Honda ST1300

I’m 45 years old and I’m about 5 months short of having 30 years of riding experience. I don’t remember exactly how many bikes I’ve owned; I lost count back in the 80s when I ran out of fingers and toes. I’m a staunch advocate for riding safely and wearing gear. I ride 6 days/week and do roughly 12,000 miles/year on two wheels, commuting, touring, and canyon carving.

What brought me here is a little complicated to explain though perhaps easy for some of you to understand. There is a terribly devastating disease going around these days called the VS Virus; it’s just awful, and it’s spreading like the plague! I recently visited the DML to see the affects the VS virus was having on its latest victim, and I was quite heartened by what I discovered. Unlike the site I’ve been a member of for many years which was recently devastated by this same virus, many of the moderators and members of the DML didn’t just roll over and take it in the rear. To those of you who decided to leave your beloved DML, (please believe me when I assure you I KNOW how you feel) you have my utmost respect and admiration. I whish some of our moderators had had such pairs of stones in their racing suits as you! Needless to say the damage to our site seems to be irreparable and I expect that it will soon die due to its inevitable lack of viability.

It was at the now defunct DML that I heard rumors about this site.

This site wasn’t easy to find…

In fact I Google searched “Ducati Monster Forum” and couldn’t find it at all. (‘might want to work on that…)

Finally I posted a question on DML directly asking for the information and was severely rebuked for my efforts. I then posted an email address along with my request and received a link which finally got me here.

After having a good look around, I’m quite impressed and I hope you don’t mind if I hang around a while. I really do like the politics section, (I hope it becomes permanent!) yes as you can likely tell I’m a little bit politically minded; not polarizingly so, but involved nonetheless.

Well that should give you all a good idea about me…
