Incredible accomplishment.  I would take weeks for that trip and probably have a lot more fun.  But I have to respect those guys who ride like that whatever their motivation may be.  Some kind of two-wheeled primal scream?

I know John Ryan.  I am not surprised.  I might have been surprised if he did this on his good ol' K75.

That is one amazing feat.

Anyone, .....where would you rank this in comparison to other great adventure feats ?

Sir Richard Branson going around the World in a Balloon ?

Bear Grylls being, at the time , the youngest person ( other than Sherpas ) to summit Mt. Everest after having broken his back from a parachute drop gone bad while in the British Special Forces previously.         Dolph     :)

pretty sure that was the run where Gary got knocked off his Mutli at the beginning of the ride?  He dislodged the spare tank on the bike, fixed that and went on only to discover he also broke his wrist in the crash as well..

Hard to rank these things.  Richard Branson's achievement is impressive and took a lot of money and preparation so that there are only a very few who could even make such an attempt.

To do something like Eagan (there Scott, I fixed it and thanks, I didn't know the correct spelling) and Ryan requires only a motorbike and there are untold thousands of us who can make the attempt, but still only a very few do so.

A little bit like the fellow who paddled his folding Klepper kayak solo across the Atlantic.  Anybody can attempt it but only one guy ever did.

A sport not for everyone and it's interesting that most all the Iron Butt riders seem to have a lot of gray hair.

Time for Gary to gas up the 1098 and go for a ride  8)

Could we get a moderator to correct the spelling of "Gary Eagan".

People keep trying to spell it like how Peter Egan spells his name.

We all knew who was being talked about. If he hadn't been such a sell out to DNA afterwards I would care as much as you.
