Strange idle on S2R1000

Once in a while I get a strange idle that will rise and fall. Warm engine. It cycles that way until I shut it down and restart. I happened to have the VDSTS software running at the time and noticed the spark advance was ~20.0 when at normal idle it reads 2.0. Any ideas?

I see this is nothing new but I couldn't find any resolution besides maybe needing a throttle-body sync.

throttle sync or bad tps, my s2r 800 needed both

I have had this happen on my 06 S2R1K occasionally after I installed the FatDuc.

I believe that it is part of the strangeness of the closed loop interacting with the stepper fast idle. Switching into neutral always made it stop for me. I have not had it happen in 6+ months and it never happened when I was in neutral. I don't think that it was caused in any way by the FatDuc itself, just that the richer I was running had it happen more often. Dunno though.
