Removing melted plastic and nylon

To make a long story short, anyone know a good way to get melted plastic and nylon off of carbon fiber?

Ok to make a long story long, during my recent trip my saddle bags got a little too close to my carbon exhaust (thankfully just on one side and not both) and I have a big nasty bunch of melted nylon from the bags on the top of my pipe.

Anyone ever encountered this problem and a way to fix it?  It really looks rough.

i had a nylon strap melt on my exhaust one time... just let the exhaust heat back up and it came off with a rag... not sure if that will work for you.
