My last bike I built was a vtr 1000.  I took it from 470 lbs dry to 350 wet. And thats without light wheels.

:o  thats a hell of a drop.
I've yet to check my bikes weight, but hear is a good site on ideas for dropping some

Im going to pouch the truck scales at the dump this weekend [evil] Bike stoped just long enough for the scale to stop moving and subtract 231lbs. Then get the heck out of dodge! [moto]

I only know a total weight because I rolled it onto a freight scale.

With added oil cooler and sliders, oil, battery, and the low fuel light on, she's down to........345 lbs  ;D

Lots of stuff removed, changed to CF, or to lighter componets, the difference between the stock cans and the Mivv total carbons is huge 'cause they are CF in and out except for the center tube.
The Ohlins is quite a bit lighter than the stock steel bodied rear shock, and the stock rotors with steel carriers weighed a ton.  The DP sprocket, EK chain, and Spiegler rear rotor, and loosing the tail helped even more. Both Rizoma mirrors weigh about the same as a single stock unit.  I'm waiting on the Bitubo Damper but should be able to make up for that addition once a few more vendors start offering rearsets.

My goal is to match the advertised 355 lb dry weight ready to ride with a full tank :)
