We arrested a guy huffing "Dust Off" compressed gas a month or so ago. Then we arrested him a week later almost to the hour doing the same thing. Then a week later almost to the minute doing the same thing. The DA finally filed a case against him on the third time (for burglary, he kept stealing the item from a near by Target).

Re: Taser. I tazed a guy also about a month ago. After the second round he pulled the prongs and ran. I don't have much confidence in the taser anymore.

I've never seen someone pull the prongs on COPS. Those chumps go down hard!

The taser has a lot of baggage. It was supposed to keep officers from having to use deadly force, but so often we see news stories about people using them when citizens are being kind of dicks. It's not okay to shoot someone for being a dick, but tasing them seems acceptable. If I were a LEO and a deadly force situation came up, I highly doubt I'd reach for my taser.

Now I am not a taser advocate by any means, but these crazy "taser sets man on fire" stories always make the press.  You never see the stories where the the taser helped an officer resolve a situation without shooting someone.  All I can say is that if I ever have a moment of insanity and decide to rob a bank, moon the Pope, or run down main street in nothing but my Sidi's, helmet, and wifes bra, I just hope that Johnny 5.0 goes for the taser as opposed to his .40cal.  With the taser I will collapse, convulse, crap my pants (or the street if in senerio #3 with wife's bra), but it sure beats bleeding profusely and seeing my kidney through a quarter sized hole (and that would be best case situation).

He couldn't have just muscled the cuffs on her?

I understand what zappers are for, and he seems to have followed the decision tree to the last branch, but would this be all over the net if it was a 200# guy getting tased?

Possibly,...... if one of the taser hooks imbedded into his jimmy sac.  That would be PrimeTime viewing.
