I have seen this discussed often, but I haven't seen a consistent answer. If I were to put slip-ons, (front runners are Arrow Ti and Quat D Ti), on an S2R800 what will be the effect on the power delivery? Do I need to do some sort of tuning, if so what are my optioins.

I have yet to have a bike perform well after a slip-on, I am assuming the same for the Duc. But treat me like an idiot (within reason) and tell me the best way to get exhaust on my bike without going all the way for the Termis. The sound is great, but not worth that much $.

Thanks in advance.

With either of those slip on you should be fine.  I have Leo Vince slip ons on my S2R800, and the bike runs just fine.

There should be no problems with running just slip ons.

As far as power increase, don't expect to see too much, if any....Maybe ~2 hp??

-That's OK though, the sound improvement itself is worth every penny!!  waytogo

-If I had it to do over and decided on slip-ons vs. a full system, I'd probably go for the Arrows, IMO they sound great functioning as just slip-ons.....You shouldn't need to tune anything, which is nice...

funny, maybe I am hypersensitive about bikes running lean because of my issues with my superhawk, which of course preceded my monster. however i felt that my leo vince slip on,2 into 1, caused my bike to run very lean. almost the same lean configuration it was stock with the 15 tooth sprocket. my dyno work showed that in the stock configuration my monster was lean, and with the pc3 properly mapped, my bike runs completley different.

it would be my opinion, that any change in the exhaust, will cause the bike to run lean. not super lean but enough to require much more clutch to take off and require more down shifting. prior to the pc3, i would always ride a gear low. just so i wouldn't have to downshift so much. now its the opposite. i ride a gear to high, just to feel some of the chuggy-ness that i love about the L-twin

any aftermarket exhaust is going to be more free flowing that equals less backpressure, that equals less low end....... lean. coffee

Fair enough... I noticed no difference.

Do I have to rejet my bike or modify my fuel maps?

No. At LeoVince we ENGINEER our exhausts to be plug and play! For street bikes our slip-ons will bolt on and offer a substantial performance increase without any further work. The same holds true for our full systems. We suggest disconnecting the battery and leaving it disconnected for a few minutes after installing either pipe, then reconnecting the battery and starting the bike. This allows the ECU to reset and adjust its own air/fuel parameters based on its sensor readings. Should you want to add an air filter, change fuel maps, adjust the ECU or make other performance enhancements we suggest you invest in dyno time with a professional facility. This will ensure you only further increase the significant performance gains a LeoVince full exhaust system will give you. For dirt bikes we always recommend the stock jetting. Our pipes perform very well with stock jetting and rarely require any changes.

IIRC, if your intake side is all stock, slip-ons will be fine. the ECU can be adjusted... minimally... by your dealer if the bike is running lean.

if you do the whole thing (intake, full exhaust, etc.) then you'll benefit from either a DP ECU or a PC3

I've got the Fresco carbon fibre high-mount slip-on's with a Q-D mid pipe. The bike seems to run better than stock with the baffles in, and worse with them out. I would not recommend the Fresco system however as the fit is terrible.  The mid-pipe was so poor that  I had to exchange it for teh Q-D so it would fit and I could access the oil filter!
